Why buy a poster when you can buy art? This photo is from a series I made in 2001 when I brought my 35mm camera into theaters to capture moments of movies- photographing seconds of time and several frames. This one is from the Australian mystery film Lantana and of the character Jane O’may played by Rachael Blake. It’s a 35mm photo printed on 30″x40″ fuji color paper. Beautiful detail of the grain of the film and movement of the cigarette being flicked. This photo has some dinging on the edges which can be easily framed out or cropped. My work is in the collection of the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textile, at the Graduate Hotel Nashville, and the new Hotel Zena in DC. I’m no longer a photographer but a working needlework artist.
