Fans of the AT&T Bell System and vintage telecommunications can celebrate their passion with this one of a kind telecommunications production. The Florence South Carolina tower is a tower anyone can see for themselves on I-95 in the Florence area. This tower heading Northbound can be seen beginning just before mile-marker 162. Southbound the tower can be seen for several miles in the distance. Millions of travelers have seen this tower since its construction in the 1950’s. This tower is also distinct for being one of the very few in the south-east United States to still harbor much of its original tower equipment. This makes it an especially rare find for many in this part of the country I am offering this original production piece in two form factors…. Form Factor #1 is a high gloss metallic photo paper print. I only print in this medium because while it costs a little more than traditional high gloss, the metallic nature allows a picture’s colors and lighting to “speak” … Form Factor #2 is aluminum sheet prints. This has become my absolute favorite way to print photography. I have several pieces I have printed on metal in the last few years and every one of them has turned out spectacular. Prints under this formfactor not only WILL last a lifetime, but they are also centerpiece quality. They are sure to be commended and enjoyed for years to come. One of the images I have listed appears to have been used in his work titled: The Urban HyperspaceVincent Serbin has been working at his own brand of photography for over 30 years. Serbin uses drawing, set construction, multiple-image printing and “negative collages” to create his dense works, which cover a multitude of subjects.In constructing his collages, Vincent Serbin combines upwards of three or four negatives, cutting or tearing out selected image areas from each negative and taping them together to create a single master negative. Serbin also incorporates words, graffiti-like doodles and outlines etched into the emulsion or marked on the surface of the negative.
